Mother’s Day Stall – next Wednesday 6th May

We are thrilled to announce that the annual Mother’s Day Stall will go ahead next week for ONE DAY ONLY on Wednesday 6th May. As with previous years, there will be a beautiful selection of gifts for mums, grandmas and nans. Most gifts have been sourced from local and rural small business owners to support them at this tricky time, and some items have been made by our talented P&F.

With safety for our students, staff and families as our top priority, things will run a little differently this year:

  • the stall will be managed by Staff with some assistance from Senior Students (not P&F volunteers).

  • Children are asked to please bring the correct money to school in a plastic snaplock bag. There will be no money handled or change given at this time. We will ensure there are enough items at each price point, so that children will have lots to choose from if the items on their wish list become unavailable.

  • Please be rest assured that all items have been created and handled with the utmost care and concern for the wellbeing of everyone. Most of our stock was in our possession before this crisis occurred. Hygiene and safety practices will be adhered to when children choose and collect their goods from the stall.

We are grateful to have this opportunity to give the kids (and mums) something to look forward to. The gift catalogue will be emailed home to all families on Friday, so make sure you check your inbox! (there won’t be a hard copy sent home this year)

Some exciting news!

Dear St Michael’s Families,

We pray that you are all safe and well.  We are certainly missing seeing everyone around school.

While the P&F have had to put some of our plans for this year on hold, we are looking to still bring our fabulous Mother’s Day stall to you next term, albeit a little differently.

We are planning on using an online platform where kids will be able to order from home (with a little help), and then our wonderful P&F will safely pack and deliver to the outside of your home on the Wednesday before Mother’s Day (because we know mums will all be needing a little spoiling by then!!).  There will be lots for grandmas and nanas as well!

Of course, this will depend on the Government directives at the time, so we will confirm the online Mother’s day stall by Monday 27 April (Week 1 Term 2).

The P&F will be ensuring physical distancing, hand sanitising etc. so you can be confident that we are taking every precaution while packing and delivering orders.

Until then, know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.  Please reach out if your family is in need of anything.  We are here to support our community in any way we can.

God bless for safe school holidays, and special time with your family.  We’ll be in touch soon!
